The NARS Climax Mascara is new on the scene which retails for $30.00 CAD at Sephora (click here to buy).
I picked up the NARS Climax mascara simply to try it out as NARS had not released a new mascara for quite some time.
The packaging of the Climax mascara is quite unique being red and has rings around the tube. As luxury mascaras do, it does click when you close the tube that does not allow air to come through – always a plus! The entire tube is a bit clunky which makes it hard to fit in my clear makeup organizer.
The wand of the Climax Mascara is fluffy enough to coat every lash. It definitely delivers more volume than my “Benefit – They’re Real” mascara. I find it easy to apply and have it coat every lash from the root upward.
The drawback of the Nars Climax Mascara is that it doesn’t build up as much as I’d like. After two coats I find that I can’t build it up as much as the Benefit. However, the NARS Climax Mascara works for an every day look and I love wearing it to work so no need to do more than two coats!
I’ve worn the NARS Climax Mascara to the gym and didn’t find that it ran or sweat off, it’s also very easy to remove!
Personally, I think the Climax Mascara is very similar to Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir which is only $3 more and has better reviews on Sephora’s website.
For now, I’ll stick with this mascara because I love to use up what I purchase and think it’s a pretty safe bet for a long day at work!
Let me know if you think you’ll pick this baby up!
