Benefit has really upped their game this year by adding to their line of eyebrow products especially with the reformulation of the Benefit Gimme Brow.  The Benefit Gimme brow is my go to mascara for my eyebrows because it has incredible colour pay off and is super easy to apply.  It is one of the best brow gels out there right now but Anastasia Beverly Hills did just release their dip brow gel which is a game changer.  Keep reading below for a list of Benefit Gimme Brow Dupes.

Gimme brow is a volumizing eyebrow gel that helps create the look of full eyebrows.  For the price of $32 CAD, I do find it a bit steep but then again I always reach for this product.  Scroll down to find out which dupes I have done research on that are quite similar to Benefit Gimme Brow.

Benefit Gimme Brow Packaging

All of the Benefit eyebrow lines are similar in packaging.  They are all silver or chrome and have their lids come to a point.  I guess they really wanted the branding to be similar with all of their eyebrow products.

Benefit Gimme Brow Gel Review

The Benefit Gimme Brow is small but mighty – it comes in this little tube and the applicator at the end of the wand is small but angled in a way that it’s easy and fast to apply the product to your eyebrows.  Since that space on our face is small, the wand is the perfect size to get to all of the spots on your face you wish to coat gimme brow with.

How do I apply the Benefit Gimme Brow?

There are a few ways you can apply Benefit Gimme Brow.  When I’m doing a “no makeup makeup look, I’ll just use Gimme Brow on its own and brush in the same way my eyebrows brow.  Then, you can back brush and that will help get the hairs you missed so you can get that full eyebrow look.  Afterward, re-brush the hairs back to their normal placement – simple right?!

However, when I want a more defined look, I’ll often use the Brow Definer from Benefit also which is the fine pencil.  I’ll use tiny flicks upward to simulate the direction my hair is growing.  Then, I’ll use Gimme Brow to quickly fill in any sparse areas.

What shades does Gimme Brow Come in?

Gimme Brow used to come in 3 shades only: 1, 3 and 5.  Now, Benefit has expanded the line to include the shade range to 6 which include half shades too. From 1 you’re getting cool blonde and the range to 6 ends up being the warmest black brown you can get from them. I think this is such a great idea because those original shades were very limiting and not everybody can fit into those colours. ***UPDATE*** Now there are even MORE shades of Benefit’s Gimme brow because there are .5 in between the numbers 3 and 5 (3.5 and shade 4.5).  I’ve updated the shade range here (as of March 14, 2019):

Benefit Gimme Brow Dupes

I’ve worked to find two other brow products that I think could be dupes of Benefit Gimme Brow.  However, I still always go back to my Gimme Brow because I really love the product.  However, here are two dupes of the Benefit Gimme Brow that I think are most comparable:

Glossier Boy Brow – $20 online

Glossier Boy Brow is probably the closest dupe to the Benefit Gimme Brow.  The wand end is very similar except Glossier’s Boy Brow is not as tapered as Gimme brow.  Boy Brow only comes in 4 colours making it pretty easy to find your shade: blond, black, brown and clear.  Sometimes, less is more and although Gimme Brow has more of a variety of shades, Boy Brown is easy to match.

I also find it to pull in more product than Gimme Brow which isn’t always good.  When it comes to eyebrow mascaras, I like when they are a bit drier so when Boy Brow finally dries a bit then I usually end up liking it.  However, at the end of the day I do like Benefit’s Gimme Brow a lot more than Glossier’s Boy Brow.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Gel – $23

Anastasia Beverly Hills New Dip Brow Gel

If you know of Anastasia Beverly Hills’ dip brow, you’ll be so excited that this hard to use dip brow pomade now comes in a tube! It’s another eyebrow mascara that provides definition and it is the same formula as the dip brow pomade but more workable as it is now a gel.  If you know your eyebrow shade for Anastasia Beverly Hills then you’ll be able to find the same shade in the dip brow gel.  This is a new product and it does come in a mini size as well so if you’re not sure about it, you can always go with the smaller version.

I don’t think you’re going to be disappointed because every eyebrow product that Anastasia Beverly Hills creates is usually magical so I wouldn’t put it past them to make another holy grail product.  It does give off a matte vibe but who wants eyebrows that are shiny anyway?

The shade range is also greater than Benefit’s Gimme Brow with 11 shades to choose from.  I will be doing a full review of the dip brow gel so please be sure to follow me on Instagram for more info.

NYX Tinted Brow Mascara – (NYX Website – $9.00 CAD)

nyx gel brow review

I got this in the shade Taupe but I should’ve picked the shade Chocolate (second one in) because Taupe is too light for me.  The wand is bigger than the Benefit Gimme Brow and it is very close to resembling a mascara brush.  I do like this product and I have been able to get a really nice shape using the wand.

L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Boost and Set – (Amazon $10.26)

Loreal Brow Stylist dupe

I was blown away by this product as the wand is skinny and not fluffy at all.  I thought I would hate it but I really love the Brow Stylist Boost and Set.  The way the applicator was angled, I was able to get the defined look I wanted and I was even able to get the feathered eyebrow look too! The gel on this one dried a bit hard and flaky however, but I would still recommend it.

I would say both of these dupes are great and the prices are super reasonable v.s. the Gimme Brow at $32 CAD.  However, I love the Gimme Brow and I find it lasts about 6 months and doesn’t dry out.  Sometimes when I love a product I’ll spend more on it because it’s really worth it!

Let me know what you think about the Benefit Gimme Brow Eyebrow Gel or if you think you’ll try out one of the dupes!
