The simplicity of this product is what gets me. The fact is that there aren’t many moisturizers that contain SPF in them. The beauty gods tell us to wear SPF every day even if it isn’t sunny, but I have yet to meet a really high end brand that includes SPF in their moisturizers.
Let me tell you a little story:
As I walked into Sephora, the reason for not including SPF into the moisturizer is simply due to thickness. I love me a thin moisturizer that doesn’t make me feel like I’m wearing a second face but I was told that I should be using two separate products.
Coming a long way from my Neutrogena love, I decided to switch up moiturizer but that I wouldn’t settle for using two different products. I didn’t want another step in my morning beauty routine and didn’t feel like it was impossible to find what I was looking for.
Enter Shoppers Beauty Boutique. Not only is their Optimum points program the best (AND changing February 2018!), but they carry some great skincare brands there. I went straight to La Roche-Posay because I knew they had a great SPF line, and I was hoping that they could help me out with my 2-in-1 problem.
Sure enough, I was presented with the La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV Intense Lotion
in SPF 15. It does come in SPF 30 but again, as I mention the higher SPF you go, the thicker the product becomes. I figured that in the winter time SPF 15 along with some of my other products would do just fine.
Take a look at the pictures and hoping you can see the fineness of this product and how smooth and glistening it looks when it’s on. It does dry clear which is perfect for my morning ritual of moisturizer first while I brush my teeth as it dries.
