Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick
I picked up the latest in highlighters from Hourglass. The packaging was undeniably the most beautiful I have seen on a highlighter to date. I decided to try the Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick in ‘Pink Flash’. I haven’t experienced a pink highlighter before and since I love the Hourglass brand, I decided to give it a trusting shot.
The packaging on this baby is glorious. I love the triangular smooth case which is in a chrome shell. I thought it would be awkward to twist up the triangle but I think these guys did massive testing to ensure this product was as smooth as can be.
The Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick glides on really smooth and was easy to apply to the highest parts of my face. It easily blends into foundation with a few finger pats. However, depending on your routine, you may have to switch up when you apply foundation. I found that If I applied the Vanish Flash Stick right before setting powder, the shine really blended right into the makeup. In the main photo of me, you can see that I applied it again.
The Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick is definitely a good buy in the sense of quality and colour. However, at a $52 CAD price point, I really WANT to say that I recommend the product but I’m not sure I can justify the price.
Buy this if you don’t have a tried and true highlighter at home and you’re looking for a staple in your makeup collection that may be lacking. Otherwise, I think other brands such as Urban Decay and Smashbox probably make equally as good highlighters for half the price…although the Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick is REALLY pretty.
